Nestled in Bellevue, Nebraska, Fontenelle Forest is a true gem, offering a serene escape into nature's embrace. During the summer, this lush forest comes alive with vibrant greenery, the gentle rustle of leaves, and the sweet songs of birds, creating a magical experience for visitors of all ages. Summer is our favorite time to visit! And don't let a little rain deter you. It makes it seem even more magical!
One area of anticipation is the completion of Fontenelle Forest's Acorn Acres – a half-acre natural playscape that's perfect for families. Located in the heart of the forest, Acorn Acres is designed to introduce visitors of all ages and comfort levels to the beauty of nature. It will be an outdoor experience like no other, where kids can freely explore, climb, and play in a safe and engaging environment. The area will be filled with natural elements like logs, rocks, and sand, allowing children to connect with nature in a hands-on way. We can't wait until this area is finished but in the meantime it's fun to stop and watch the construction, especially if you have a construction loving toddler.
